We stayed at this hotel 02/05-02/08 to celebrate my sisters birthday. I made a comment when reserving that I would like to have my sisters room on the same floor as me because we were celebrating for her bday. I have never made a request before and this hotel went above and beyond with my expectations. We arrived earlier in the day and we were able to store our luggage to explore the city while we waited for our room. The check in person made a note of my comment, asked me if I would like for them to decorate my sisters room ( I had already brought my own decorations) and she even made sure to leave my sister a gift bag with a card. I had never experienced an interaction where a hotel went above and beyond at making sure our accommodations were met. I really felt appreciated. The rooms were cleaned every day with new towels. The rooms were small but that's expected when you visit NYC. I had no issues during our hotel stay and will def be back at this location for future visits. I can't remember the girls name but she had long curly/wavy hair, and wore glasses. Management needs to give her praise and a raise for such excellent customer service. All of the staff we had interactions with made us feel important and they were all so kind. The hotel is close to Grand Central Station, Bryant Park, Times Square and all of the other great attractions in Midtown. 10/10 would recommended this location to anyone visiting it.

I love the Hyatt Centric 5th Ave. I’ve stayed twice now for business trips, and both visits were genuinely lovely. The front desk team was efficient and professional, and they proactively offered my Hyatt Discoverist late checkout without me needing to ask - always appreciated. The room was comfortable and thoughtfully appointed. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was excellent, and the blackout curtains made the room wonderfully dark and quiet at night. The smaller floor footprint means fewer rooms and noticeably less noise, which was a huge plus after busy workdays in Midtown. Elevators were fast, and online checkout was seamless, so I was able to skip the front desk entirely. A real little gem in the heart of Midtown - I’ll absolutely be back.

I went on a short birthday trip with my friends this past weekend from Friday through Sunday to NYC for my bucket list. When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by Ronny and the plan was originally to stow our belongings while we waited for our room to be ready and go out and explore. When Ronny found out that it was for my birthday he let us check in early and gave us a voucher for the restaurant in the hotel. I had never heard of such a wonderful service before! When we went out and came back we were greeted by Leo and he asked how our trip was going and was so friendly and he made sure that I got a credit for room service fee in case we wanted to order in for lunch or dinner. They were both really nice and the room was lovely and quiet and the bathroom had top tier lighting for makeup. My friend had a blast having a nice desk with adjustable lighting for a full makeup transformation. The bed was comfortable and the food from the restaurant was delicious. I would 10/10 do it again and huge shout out of love for my boys Ronny and Leo! Thank you for making my birthday weekend so special!

I had an outstanding stay at the Hyatt Centric, and the credit goes entirely to the people who run this place. Rachel was warm, professional, and on top of everything from the moment I checked in. But a special shout-out to Rony — he went above and beyond to accommodate our specific health requirements without hesitation. He handled everything quietly, efficiently, and with genuine care. This hotel is awesome because of its staff. They’re the reason I’ll be coming back and recommending it to others.

Rooms are okay but service is exceptional. The rooms are basically as expected: shoebox sized, a little dark as other reviewers mentioned (even with all lights on), and okay/good appointments. Shower grout needs scrubbing, otherwise room was clean. Also as mentioned by other reviewers, the mixing valves for the sink/shower are terrible…there’s no way to get really warm or not-too-hot water. It’s really hot or it’s cold. The service, though, is fantastic. In particular, Ronnie at the Front Desk could not have been more accommodating or friendly. The whole staff was great, but Ronnie has the instinctive “yes” mentality…many hotels these days have front desk staff who hold the world of basic requests in their hand and mete out assistance on a whim. I didn’t find that with any staff at the Hyatt Centric Midtown, but Ronnie was particularly helpful. Thanks for a great stay!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5-Star Review for Hyatt Centric 5th Avenue (NYC) We stayed at the Hyatt Centric 5th Avenue during the US Open, and it could not have been a better experience. With the city buzzing and hotels packed for the tournament, the level of service and comfort at this property truly stood out. From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm, attentive, and incredibly professional. Even with the extra busy atmosphere of US Open week, every interaction felt personal and unrushed. Check-in was smooth, and the team consistently made sure we had everything we needed for an enjoyable and stress-free stay. Our room was immaculate—modern, beautifully designed, and surprisingly quiet given how lively NYC is during this time of year. The bed was unbelievably comfortable, the large windows filled the space with natural light, and the bathroom had that luxurious, spa-like feel. After long days at the tournament, it was the perfect space to unwind. The location was ideal. Being right on 5th Avenue put us close to great dining, shopping, and transportation. Whether we were heading to the matches, exploring Midtown, or grabbing a late-night bite, everything was close and convenient. What made this hotel exceptional was the balance it struck: even in one of the busiest weeks in New York, the environment felt calm, polished, and welcoming. It was a peaceful retreat in the middle of all the US Open excitement. I can’t recommend the Hyatt Centric 5th Avenue enough—especially if you’re coming to NYC for a major event. The service, comfort, and overall experience were truly top-tier. We’ll absolutely be staying here again on our next visit!

Our stay at the Hyatt Centric Midtown was absolutely amazing. The hotel itself was great, but what truly made the experience unforgettable was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. My girlfriend and I stayed here to celebrate our anniversary, and Ronny went completely above and beyond for us. He surprised us with an upgrade, made us feel genuinely cared for, and turned a great stay into a truly special one. He also provided an incredible list of recommendations all over the city, which helped us make the most of our trip. You can tell he genuinely cares about guests and their experience. Because of Ronny and the overall hospitality, this stay exceeded all expectations. We can’t wait to come back and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the city.

Great location and area. Front staff was exceptional. Rachel and Ronnie were fantastic. I was traveling solo and Rachel found out it was my birthday; she went above and beyond to make sure my stay was excellent. The staff had decorated my room and made me cry when I walked in :,) Rachel, you offer amazing energy and a smile, thank you! Ronnie helped check me in and was so kind. I got to chat with him during my stay and really enjoyed my time. You can tell he truly cares for his guests!
